Job Description : The Organization
Clinica was founded by Alicia Sanchez a single mother of seven children who truly understood the need for affordable health care. Through a true grassroots effort, Alicia, along with community leaders and health care providers, started Clinica in 1977. The first Clinica office was in a small, wood frame house in Lafayette. That first year, Clinica had a budget of $75,000, and our six staff members provided basic health care to about 500 Lafayette residents.
Clinica now sees more than 58,000 patients a year. With more than 640 employees, we operate 6 community-based medical clinics and 3 dental clinics serving south Boulder, Broomfield and west Adams counties. Today, Clinica is known at state and national levels for our innovative care model and exceptional health outcomes.

Clinica cares for patients from all walks of life: insured, underinsured, uninsured. Some are well off. Others are facing hard financial situations. Regardless of their personal situation, they all need high-quality, affordable health care for themselves and their families.

The position
Clinica is seeking a Clinic operations director for our Thornton clinic who carries passion and enthusiasm for leading teams and providing senior level leadership at the site and managing operational staff and systems to ensure organizational goals are being met. The Clinic Operations Director will have 5 years of prior management experience, preferably with an FQHC.
the Clinic Operations director will be able to effectively collaborate within the Thornton Clinic, especially with the Clinic Medical Director, Assistant Nursing Director and other members of the Clinic Leadership Team, as well as across the various departments within Clinica family health. The Thornton building contains Medical, Dental, Enrollment Services, and Pharmacy. Additionally, our Thornton Clinic provides Refugee screening services. Forming effective relationships and having effective communication with all leaders and departments will be critical for success in this role. Additionally, an ability to form strong, positive working relationships will need to be regularly demonstrated. the Clinic Operations director will be able to complete work timely and follow-through on commitments, especially as it relates to areas of regulatory compliance.
the Clinic Operations director will be able to advise the chief operating officer, as well as other members of Clinica’s executive team, on matters of specific to the Thornton Clinic, as well as identify opportunities through which Clinica family health can better serve its communities.
the Clinic Operations Director will report directly to the chief operating officer, while directly supervising 2 employees and leading a medical clinic of over 90 employees.

Compensation: Approximately $87,057-$97,983 annually. All individual pay rates are calculated based on the candidate’s experience and internal equity.
