Pay Range: $20.20 – $23.23 per hour. Your hourly rate will be based on the year of study at school.
Contract up to 4 months
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster, and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Toronto Office is looking for a CO-OP Student to assist with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of Metrolinx social media channels. The CO-OP Students will work with internal stakeholders to provide support in the completion of required tasks and deliverables.
What will I be doing?
Execute social media and branded content initiatives, including coordination of related materials with relevant departments (e.g., key messages and social media content)Provide social media analysis on a weekly basisSource user-generated content and maintain related spreadsheetsPhotography, video development as opportunities arisesSupport Social & Branded Content team with campaign-related needs (e.g., coordinate assets with Brand leads)Monitor social media channels for opportunities to engageProvide assistance and support to staff in a variety of areas, including gathering, inputting, organizing, and interpreting data for reports/presentations/meetings/projects

What skills and qualifications do I need?
Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institutionMust be at least 15 years of age before starting employmentEnrolled in Digital Media, Marketing, or Journalism programs at a post-secondary institutionPrevious experience working within a business environment is preferredStrong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills are requiredCompetence in content creation, photography/videographySubstantial knowledge of social media best practicesInterest in social media and content creation is a strong assetA willingness to learn while being exposed to all aspects of Digital Marketing
