Location: East Boulder Mine
Normal Working Hours: Rotating
Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
This position will function as a plant operator for the East Boulder Concentrator and surface facilities. The primary job functions will include: operating the plant crushing, grinding, flotation, and concentrate handling systems; monitoring and recording information to ensure proper plant performance; making process decisions using the DCS control system; checking, adjusting and mixing reagent chemicals; operating forklifts and skid steer loader; operating surface loader and haul truck; and performing clean up in all mill areas as directed. Secondary functions may include assisting maintenance crews and performing other duties as assigned by the discretion of a supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven safety record
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Basic computer skills
PREFERRED:
High school graduate with math and science skills
Mobile equipment operating experience
Mechanical aptitude
Process plant experience grinding and flotation
