Job Description : About The Role
Assist the VP Benefits Supervisor, who has the overall responsibility for the company’s benefit, workplace safety and wellness programs. Oversee all Wellness, Safety and Worker’s compensation activities for GBCI. Act as the corporate coordinator between employees, bank divisions and third parties to deliver top notch wellness initiatives that encompass the GBCI company culture. This role will be expected to work closely with third party partners to develop and implement programs and initiatives to enhance the wellness and safety of our workforce. As the Safety and Worker’s Compensation Coordinator, ensure that all employees are provided, trained and engaged in GBCI’s safety culture, and that worker’s comp claims are actively managed.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesCorporate Wellness Coordinator: Direct the overall wellness program for Glacier Bancorp and its division locations. Work closely with the chosen third party vendor and the Human Resources Benefit Department to deliver impactful wellness programs that fit within our company culture. Is responsible for working with third party wellness vendor to develop, communicate, track and measure the effectiveness of all wellness initiatives. Lead an internal group of wellness ambassadors for a successful integration of the wellness initiatives throughout our organization. Work closely with other departments to ensure Wellness continues to be a benefit that separates GBCI as an Employer of Choice. Continue to stay abreast of the changing environment within Wellness Programs including compliance items, best practices and industry standards.Corporate Worker’s Compensation Coordinator: Responsible for overseeing the investigation of all work comp claims and near misses. Report all reportable claims directly to the work comp carriers in our respective states. Work collectively with all parties to include employee, bank division and comp carrier to effectively manage all work comp claims. Maintain all necessary paperwork and tracking claims for both government reporting and reporting to GBCI management and HR group on a regular basis. Review claims for trends, and actively work with the bank divisions to educate and address claim trends. Work directly with the Benefit Specialist to coordinate any FML administration and Work comp related early return to work situations. Assist bank safety and HR departments in implementing safety programs and creating specific projects, as requested, in order to reduce work comp claims and dollars. Ensures compliance with all state and federal guidelines to includes OSHA, etc. Lead the annual work comp renewal with Broker reviewing vendor relationships and renewal processes.Corporate Safety Coordinator: Coordinate all safety related items for GBCI. Provide support to all bank division safety committees. Track and monitor compliance within our locations for safety related trainings. Disseminate information to safety contacts in each bank division via presentations, handouts, newsletter articles, etc. Maintain compliance with all of our state’s safety initiatives, regulations and requirements. Act as the GBCI safety coordinator and chair the GBCI safety committee.Support Corporate Human Resources Department as needed with employee, HR Representatives and supervisor/manager questions. Assist with training preparation and presentations. Conduct research and gather information as needed. Maintain and update written procedures as necessary. Follow company policies and procedures. Provides assistance on other corporate HR duties as necessary. Attends all department meetings, HR monthly conference calls and in-person training meetings. Complete required training and compliance courses and participate in other trainings as offered.Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

The entry-rate for this position is $22.75+ /hr (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Education
Required – Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Wellness or related field or have a minimum of 3 years of direct human resource experience.
Experience
Preferred – Experience working with worker’s compensation carriers and company safety programs.
Preferred – Company Wellness coordination experience.
Preferred – Direct Human Resource experience.
License/Certification
Preferred – Workplace wellness and safety training certificate.

Travel
Occasional travel required: (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
