We offer a range of innovative and affordable financing solutions to meet the specialized needs of personal injury plaintiffs, their lawyers, and the experts called upon to develop their legal claims and protect their rights to full and fair access to justice.

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice President, Credit, the Credit Analyst will be involved in all tasks within the law firm lending credit function. You will support the company’s financial underwriting, monitor law firm performance, investigate delinquent payments, contact debtor firms and pursue repayment. In addition to interacting with external clients of the business, the Credit Analyst will frequently liaise and collaborate with internal departments including Sales, Risk, Operations and Finance. Being successful in this role will require an individual to possess exceptional thoughtfulness and attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work independently, and a strong dedication to provide superior customer service to our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for performing the following:

Assist in the research and evaluation of clients’ creditworthiness, through a review of the client’s financial statements and other relevant financial and non-financial data
Monitor internal metrics and prepare periodic reports for review by management
Collect funds owing from debtor firms, perform calculations of interest, and administer discharges of security
Liaise with and support other business departments as required

As a successful member of the BridgePoint team, the Credit Analyst will also be required to:

Build relationships with key staff in relationship management, operations, and finance to ensure regular communication regarding credit and collections and the observation of required service levels
Provide a professional representation of the firm when dealing with law firm clients
Foster a staff culture that supports the company strategy and vision and bring the vision to life at all levels of the organization

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

An undergraduate degree with a focus in economics, business, finance, accounting, or a related field is required
At minimum two to four years’ work experience as a financial analyst including the analysis of financial statements and/or the assessment of business credit applications
Strong interpersonal & organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently and the ability to prioritize work effectively and efficiently
Excellent oral communication and written communication skills
This is a HANDS-ON, ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES ROLE within a rapid-pace environment
The firm is located in downtown Toronto and the successful candidate will be expected to attend at the office on a regular basis, with limited allowance for WFH.
