Summary:
As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll provide quality service and support for our vendors and customers. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with our retail partners; spot rate quoting; shipment updates; delay/damage advisement; carrier contact; tracking product delivery; responding to routine questions regarding order status and tracking information; and working with internal partners, including account service management to resolve complex customer issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise and monitor freight activity inbound and outbound for assigned accounts.
Ensure SOPs for these accounts are managed and implemented.
Follow up on quotations and provide requotes if need be
Follow thru on shipment status with origin offices and updates to assigned clients
Verify pricing in line with rate cards and if exemptions, that these are communicated and approved by the Client.
Liaising with the Account Owners on activity, new trade-lanes, and pricing.
Assist Ops team in accruing and posting costs in files and invoicing to assigned clients.
Assisting in onboarding new accounts and ensuring org codes have been entered and credit has been approved.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to communicate with people on different levels inside and outside of the organization.
Must have demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, and sales reporting tools.
PC and Windows based software working knowledge required.
Can build rapport and business partnerships.
Ability to adapt to and embrace change.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
Capable of making sound business decisions.
Able to quickly understand new information and situations.
Possess strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a varied workload.
Problem solving/resolution-oriented skills.
Education and Experience:
Good communication skills: speaking/writing English. Second language is optional. In Canada, French is important.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Excel, etc.
Experience in CW1 Freight Operating System optional but a bonus.
Min 2 years experience in the industry.
College or University degree in International Studies; Business; or related field.
Optional: CIFFA 1 & 2 modules International Freight
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
