Enzoic is seeking a full-time Security Researcher to join our growing team in the Boulder, CO office. This role supports our Threat Intelligence function by locating, collecting and processing large amounts of data from a variety of sources, including the Dark and Clear web, as well as human intelligence sources.
This position is most suited to someone interested in the field of cybersecurity, but also with a strong desire to work in an operationally-focused and data-oriented role. The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys reasoning about large datasets and finding ways to automate tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Organize, analyze and clean data for automated ingestion using shell scripts and other efficient tools
Manage and monitor automated data collection systems
Collect raw threat intelligence data from various sources across the dark and clear webs
Research, identify, and cultivate new sources of threat data for inclusion in automated or manual collection systems
Communicate findings and threat landscape assessments internally and to other teams as needed

Qualifications

We’re looking for a smart, self-driven, and diligent computer scientist with experience in cybersecurity, preferably in the threat intelligence or data analysis space.
The ideal candidate will have some exposure to authentication-related cybersecurity, including general understanding of password hashing algorithms, typical authentication database schemas, authentication flows, etc.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript, etc)
Comfort using a UNIX-based shell and familiarity with text processing tools such as sed, grep, split, awk, etc. to manipulate large data files.
Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
Familiarity with virtualization and containerization software (e.g. Docker)
