Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Data Analyst oversee the daily reporting of Renewable Energy facilities which may include Solar, Wind or Energy Storage. Duties will include upkeep of existing monitoring and reporting dashboards for operational sites, and definition of new capabilities for new assets. You will collaborate with site managers, site owners, vendors, software developers, engineering, IT and other needed partners to ensure monitoring and reporting tools represent the true performance of the assets. You may travel up to 5%.
Specific tasks:

Manage daily reporting of renewable energy assets, which may include Wind, Solar and Energy Storage.
Implement a quality program to ensure existing reports reflect asset performance.
Troubleshoot and manage resolution for missing, stale, or corrupt data.
Compile fleet-wide monthly report to be submitted to the executive team.
Collaborate with SCADA supplier for new assets to gather information on real-time and historical data access and architecture.
Collaborate with IT and software developers to implement data retention strategies for new sites.
Lead discussions with client to establish and agree on report templates, monitoring logic, and other custom analysis.
Evaluate risk and help with contract negotiations on contractual KPI definitions.
Propose new fleet-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) for standard reporting.
Partner in discussions for building new RES standard monitoring and reporting tools for solar and storage.
Evaluate opportunities for further integration of data from RES software into standard reporting.
Fulfill as-needed data download and data analysis requests from site managers, owners, vendors, or other important partners.
Discover opportunities and propose resolutions for automation of recurring or time-consuming data analysis, downloads or reporting needs.
Provide technical supports to site operations.
Create and use tools for performance analysis.
Work with different teams to analyze expected vs. actual production data.
Any other tasks as assigned.

Skills:

Relevant analytics professional or educational experience
Basic knowledge of python
Data visualization skills
Experience with solar, wind or energy storage

Qualifications:

B.S. degree level education in computer science or relevant field, or equivalent experience in another appropriate technical field.
4 years+ experience as a data analyst or relevant field.
Employees must be physically able to operate a vehicle safely, have an appropriate valid driver’s license, have personal insurance coverage, and have an acceptable driving record.

Anticipated base salary range: $61,500 – $80,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. You will be bonus eligible.
