Job Description : Data Privacy and Security Compliance Analyst
JOB BRIEF
We are currently hiring an experienced Data Privacy Analyst (DPA) reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer and working closely with the Legal Department. The DPA will establish and oversee the implementation of the policy and data management framework for privacy and data protection across the company. The DPA will be responsible for staff training, data protection impact assessments, and internal privacy audits. The DPA will also serve as the primary contact for supervisory authorities and individuals whose data is processed by the organization.
This role oversees the design and implementation of preventative privacy and security standards, policies, and procedures. This person also directs the investigation of privacy breaches and disciplinary actions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable making decisions on a short timeframe and autonomously.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU
What you will do
Inform and advise GreenSlate global data privacy and security regulations (including but not limited to GLBA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, cross-border transfer, and emerging regulations)
Communication and training of privacy and security regulation requirements
Developing and implementing a robust compliance plan
Ensuring privacy and data protection is taken into account (“by design”) in GreenSlate’s services, products, and data architectures (including cloud)
Collaborating with the relevant operational teams to ensure that Data Subject requests and complaints are addressed in a timely manner
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology support, administration, and event handling
Work with vendors to support the DLP technology (troubleshooting, upgrades, etc.)
Understand and follow the incident response process through event escalations
Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy.
Use data anonymization, pseudonymization, and encryption to develop systems that preserve and improve privacy protections.
Ensuring identification and classification of personal and other controlled data across the enterprise and in enterprise repositories
Ensuring record retention in accordance with the enterprise, legal, and regulatory requirements
Performs regular privacy and data security impact assessments of operational processes, identifying, and mitigating risks across the company through effective tools, training, and guidance
Who you are
Direct experience designing and managing company-wide policies and procedures around data privacy and security including data classification, access, storage, and retention.
Strong knowledge of global data privacy regulations and guidelines including but not limited to GLBA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, cross-border transfer, and emerging regulations
Knowledge of core Information Security concepts related to Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ability to independently research and solve technical issues
Interaction with an incident response team
Good social, communication, and technical writing skills
IAPP CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E/US, CISSP, and/or relevant technical certifications preferred
Self-motivated collaborator able to succeed in a matrixed organization
Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment
