About The Role: Database Administration Assistant Internship
Reporting to the Programs Project Manager, the Database Administration Assistant will help in tracking, managing and analyzing data for our flagship programs. This role will also collaborate with different teams to organize our shared drive and identify organizational best practices in formalizing this process. This role will also help in effective project management and creating templates and cohort documents.
This is role is part of VFC’s commitment to fostering work-integrated learning for Canadian students, in addition to gaining valuable hands-on experience, interns will also receive 1×1 mentoring from our Director of People Operations and Finance, receive a curated set of learning materials, and participate in professional development groups to further advance skill development. These skill development sessions will focus on relationship building, time management, objective based working styles, delegation, project planning and execution, working in small teams, and more! Due to the funding source of this role, potential candidates must be Canadian citizens between the ages of 15 and 30 at the start of their employment. Candidates must be based in Ontario.
This is a contract position and employment is contingent on funding approval.

Venture for Canada is committed to providing equal pay for equal work with salaries in line with industry standards. Our weekly salary pay for this position is $675. Other benefits include but are not limited to:

Stipend for phone usage.
Four days vacation plus additional office closure for one week in August.
Flexible work hours and from May long weekend to Labour Day weekend we offer Summer Hours.
Funding to support the set up of a home office.

Role Responsibilities:

Liaise with other divisions within the organization and potentially external partners helping to coordinate data collection, management and administration.
Support teams to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs or projects.
Collect and complete administrative forms, reports, evaluation tools and statistical information, as necessary.
Perform administrative duties including data entry, creating correspondence, taking notes, etc. as required.
Complete progress reports bi-weekly and a final report at the end of the work term.
Other related duties as assigned.
