Job Description : Do you love summer fun? Who doesn’t, right? What about games? Do you love games? How about camp chants, outdoor education and artsy crafty stuff?
If you answered yes to all of the above (heck, two out of three ain’t bad), you should probably apply to join the YMCA Summer Day Camp Team. Location options include Berthoud, Boulder, Fort Collins, Lafayette, Longmont, Loveland, Johnstown.
Shifts vary depending on site between 7:00am and 6:00pm M-F. No evenings. No weekends (except one required weekend training May 21-22nd)! This position is seasonal between May 21st -Aug 12th. The YMCA of Northern Colorado provides programming at various locations for youth from preschool through 6th grade. Our goal is for each child to enjoy safe adventures, make new friends and have amazing experiences every day. Seasonal full time and part time opportunities are available.
Requirements/Certifications: To apply for this position you must:
Be 16 years or older
Provide documentation of experience working directly with school-age children in such areas as Sunday school, Scouts, sports, or babysitting. Documentation includes, but is not limited to: YMCA reference forms, letters of recommendation on official letterhead, and school transcripts. 460 hours+ preferred. 910+ hours required for director-level staff.
Become certified or supply documentation of current certification in CPR and First Aid.
Must have ability to work well on a team, communicate well with youth, parents and colleagues and be committed to implementing high quality programming.
Salary range $14-22/hr based on experience, qualifications, and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English
