Job Description : Job description*WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE IMMEDIATELY. WE WILL ONLY READ APPLICATIONS FROM CANDIDATES WHO: a) READ ENTIRE AD, INCLUDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING.b) SEND A SMALL NOTE DETAILING WHY THIS IS A GOOD IDEA FOR BOTH PARTIES.*Looking for a driver with experience driving a Sprinter or tall Cargo van.Schedule requires Sunday to Tuesday commitment with any additional days you want to work. There are routes available the rest of the week, and there is onsite work available too (packing the orders), if you’re looking for extra work..Delivery area is downtown from Sun-Tue, with a very small radius of about 5km. Deliveries are more spread out and in different areas rest of the week, but the routes are consistent, with regular customers.Pickup is in the west end for all days.Saturday to Tuesday — Loading usually begins at 6am and finshes at 730am, often earlier. Driving begins at 8am and should finish by 2pm. Experienced drivers will be finished faster.Other days — Loading begins by 800 am, and driving should finish around 5pm, often much earlier.A route will be provided. Your job is to sort the pieces, load the van, and drive to each of the destinations. You must ensure the safe delivery of each item.You will use a scanner or a phone to record the delivery in real-time. Items weigh from 5lbs to 30lbs.You’ll be given extensive training. The expectation is that you’ll be independent and quickly improve. The routes are consistent and do not change, and you will learn quickly.YOUYou’re a professional. You’re punctual. You’re reliable. You’re a problem solver. You don’t make mistakes, you learn very quickly, and you are not fussy. You understand the customer comes first and that they’re the reason we have work.You have experience delivering and are comfortable driving downtown.You are a conscientious, professional and experienced dirver, and you have a clean abstract to back it up.You’re looking for a regular, steady paycheque and can commit to a schedule.USWe’re a small distribition company that partners with independent businesses to act as their logistics arm. We also contract work out from larger delivery companies that require dedicated route work.REMUNERATIONYou’ll be paid as an independent contractor and per piece. Rate per piece varies, but daily minimum is $175. Typical day is $200-300, for 8-10 hours.HOW TO APPLYSend a note detailing your relevant experience, and why you think this would work for both of us.Before driving, you’ll be asked to provide proof of valid insurance, driver’s license, and you must be able to pass a criminal background check.
