Job Description

As a Designer, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, and manufacturer of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. You’ll work under the direction of senior engineers to perform design, CAD modeling, and drafting. The following are examples of duties that may be included:

Build detailed 2D and 3D models of the assemblies using interface control drawings.
Support design through documentation release and manufacturing
Create new parts, drawings, BOMs, assemblies
Support finite element and thermal analysis to confirm the system design
Provide design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations

Basic Qualifications:
Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience, and/or technical training
Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail to create high-quality work products
Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a diverse team and environment
Ability to obtain security clearance
Desired Skills:
Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following areas:

Familiar with Technical Data Package development process, and Engineering Change Packages
Experience with designing parts or assemblies in Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or equivalent
Ability to work in an agile environment and handle multiple priorities and internal customers
