Job Description : Facebook is seeking a Site Operations Director to lead teams in our North American leased data center facilities. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. This role will oversee both existing data center regions and the establishment of new data center regions as we continue to expand our infrastructure. The successful candidate will partner closely with other regional leads as well as engineering teams to deliver and maintain mission critical IT hardware and tooling. The SiteOps Director will create industry leading vision and strategy, scale teams and operations, develop talent, and deliver the right processes and standards to enable Facebook’s growth. This position is full-time.

Director, Data Center Site Operations – Leased Facilities Responsibilities:

Build and lead a geographically dispersed team responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of server hardware across multiple data center regions
Mentor and develop managers and individual contributors, and evolve staffing models to meet the requirements of a global organization
Develop and maintain a scalable operations model with a documented roadmap, goals and objectives
Help create and drive the vision and strategy to take data center operations to the next level of industry leadership
Work with centralized organizations to evaluate, implement and manage outsourced services
Partner with hardware engineering, procurement, and program management teams to deliver infrastructure with industry-leading performance, quality, and reliability
Partner across SiteOps to assure tooling roadmaps and resources accurately reflect the needs and priorities of the global team
Work with leased data center providers to assure spaces and services are suited to purpose
Work with peer organizations to develop solutions for cross functional issues and support requirements associated with network operations, project management and supply chain operations
Architect and implement innovative and robust processes and standards in support of technology, tooling, and other data center support areas, as required
Develop and manage to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data center mission critical operations
In coordination with other teams, scope and execute data center retrofit/upgrade projects
Prepare and manage OPEX budget
Ability to travel 30-35%

Minimum Qualifications:

15+ years of experience leading data center or technical operations organizations
BS/MS in engineering or business related field
Experience working in a fast paced, hands-on environment
Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling for an environment as well as development of a leadership team
Experience leading projects
Experience in vendor management
Experience communicating at the executive level
Experience in public facing roles
Knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure
Knowledge of environmental health and safety programs
Knowledge of network and cabling infrastructure
