Position: Director, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action, Consumer Experience

How You Will Make a Difference

As the Director – Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Action (IDEA) – Consumer Experience you will work closely with senior Brand Leadership to build brand-specific GTM strategies, action plans, and goals by defining the internal/external benchmarks that will ensure that the needs of our brands’ diverse consumer base are met, and their experiences amplified. While GTM will be your primary focus (80%), you will also partner with HR Leadership and the IDEA Associate Experience team on the definition and execution of the brand inclusion strategy to attract, engage and retain a powerfully diverse, talented workforce worldwide and drive a culture of inclusion that unleashes the potential of all our employees to drive competitive advantage.

What You Will Do:

Understand business implications of IDEA initiatives and determine the appropriate measures of success that align with business outcomes; actively challenge the status quo to ensure the organization and its leaders understand and act on the imperative and are elevating IDEA opportunities to serve consumers throughout all aspects of the GTM process.
Be a thought partner to Brand / GTM Leadership to help scope, structure, and drive key initiatives that support brand strategies AND incorporate IDEA strategies.
Partner with analytics, strategy and consumers insights teams to develop and subsequently present recommendations to Brand / GTM leaders for business growth opportunities with traditionally underrepresented diverse consumers.
Recommend/develop global processes and tools that ongoingly capture the voice of the diverse consumer and put mechanisms in place to disseminate related insights to GTM teams.
Establish and maintain forums to appropriately assess risk before GTM decisions are made that target diverse consumers, considering potential impact on the brand and VF’s reputation should the response not be as intended.
Provide thought leadership, collaboration and provide solutions directly with key senior leaders and HR Business Partners to promote an inclusive work environment where diversity is viewed in the broadest sense – including age, ethnicity, gender, appearance, race, physical abilities, religion, social-economic background, political affiliation, sexual orientation, sexual identity, nationality, thinking styles, life experiences, and so forth.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 12+ years

Educational Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. MBA degree is a plus.

Outstanding thought leadership and passion for inclusion, diversity ad equity

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in consumer-driven markets / industry, either in professional consulting services or corporate roles Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy
Subject matter expert, taking market data research and broad theoretical knowledge to apply principles and best practices amongst Senior Leaders to implement IDEA practices
Strong relationship skills, able to develop “trusted advisor” status at senior management levels to impact and influence decisions and effective actions; and be able to deliver sometimes difficult messages with persuasiveness and sensitivity
A change agent, demonstrated bias for action and sense of urgency
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate insights into actionable business decisions and execution plans
Ideally the person for this role thrives on the impact they can have on bringing ideas to life and is interested in all forms of strategy, planning and thinking

Salary Range: $146,880.00 USD – $220,320.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :
This position is eligible to participate in VF’s Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its’ Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :
This position is eligible to be nominated annually to participate in VF’s Executive Long-Term Incentive Plan.
