We are currently seeking a fulltime Family Advisor to join our team.
Job description: Full time days
You will be responsible for planning and coordinating admission to the facility. The admission coordinator seeks and/or receives inquires and documents information for potential residents to be admitted.
At least one-year previous experience in the health care field, preferably long-term care. Marketing in the community is required. Some flexibility for weekend and evening hours will be required. Familiarity with medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team setting. Degree and/or certification in health care or marketing preferred. Must be able to effectively express self in written and oral communication and to communicate with a wide variety of health care professionals, potential residents, family members and the community in general.
Qualifications:
Current knowledge of state and regulatory requirement related to admissions, discharge and transfer is demonstrated. Current knowledge and understanding of payment systems, HMO, PPO, Indemnity, Worker’s Compensation, insurance (Medicare and Medicaid, etc.) is demonstrated. Etc.
