Role Description:
This role is for a highly energetic and passionate individual who is charged with driving the learning strategy across Modern Restaurant Concepts and it’s brands. Along with her/his team, develops content which is needed to effectively instill the necessary learning for team members at all levels and in both the restaurants and restaurant support office.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Director II of Restaurant Services and other functional and senior leaders to design, plan and implement a learning strategy to meet the organizational goals of the business.
Develop, update and maintain comprehensive training programs using different learning mediums (self-learning, instructor led learning, supplemental materials, videos and interactive learnings) to drive desired outcomes at all levels of the organization.
Create, update and maintain development paths that provide clear direction, necessary skill development, and self-driven knowledge acquisition for quick and effective upward progression and career advancement.
Creation of innovative, high-quality targeted development content for both field operations and Restaurant Support teams that meet learning objectives and drive improved performance results with focus on content areas such as competency development, functional development and overall performance.
Create continuous learning programs for emerging leaders in the organization that connect to business goals, include engagement with high level leaders and develop leadership core competencies.
Collaborate and support implementation of mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning and development for the organization.
Support franchise partners with their learning & development needs including initial management training, brand training support as defined by the Franchise Business Consultant and shared best practices for L&D application within the brands.
Ensure administration of MIT Program including onboarding, training location coordination, travel arrangements, trainee experience interviews and reporting on program completion
Ensure all certifications are current for Responsible Alcohol Service training (TIPS), ServSafe Food Safety training; with adequate support of technical needs and ongoing administration of certifications
Partner with field operators and L&D Supervisor to ensure proper administration of all operational training programs and training standards
Partner with operational leaders to assess, design, deploy, measure and evaluate learning/ performance solutions and interventions.
Direct management of maximization of the learning experience in the LMS to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment.
Assist in the development of L&D talent across the brands & throughout all lines of business.
Partner with Operations Services on program or system pilots/tests, as needed
Skills/Experience:
5 years in a Training role, or equivalent experience preferred
A background in restaurant operations
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Strong support skills that lead to effective partnership with operations leaders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading
Ability to meet deadlines and communicate challenges
Competent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, LMS/CMS systems (Wisetail), Articulate 360 systems, video production and editing
Qualities:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
