The Hawaiian Experience Spa concept was brought to Arizona in 2007 by our founders after they studied massage in Hawaii. We have since expanded and currently have a spa in Scottsdale, Chandler and Goodyear with more opening soon! We are the number one rated day spa in the Phoenix, AZ area because we have the best team of therapists, estheticians, spa administrators and managers. Our ohana first policies are the basis of our success and our ohana drives the company forward.
We are in the process of executing a plan to immediately open three additional locations and are adding this new executive position as part of our comprehensive strategy to become the largest day spa chain in the Phoenix area.

Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to be a decision maker in a growing company that is determined to be the best. This position reports directly to the CEO and will transition into Chief Marketing Officer with stock options after the execution of the spas immediate expansion plans. This is a unique opportunity to join the company while it is small and to grow with Hawaiian Experience Spa as you help make it into an industry leader.
As the Director of Sales and Marketing, your primary role is to fulfill the third point of our Spirit of Aloha Commitment – To spread the Spirit of Aloha to everyone. This includes developing, implementing and overseeing the spas sales and marketing plan to aggressively promote our brand and to increase our top line sales revenues.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop a comprehensive marketing plan including both long term branding and direct advertising strategies and tactics.
Develop effective sales practices for the ohana
Train the ohana to effectively execute the sales practices so they can maximize revenue from each guest.
Ensure company sales goals are achieved through your strategies, tactics and leadership
Update, maintain and expand the spas online presence including our website, social media, review sites, etc.
Update and maintain printed marketing materials including brochures, signs, etc. as needed to present a coordinated and effective strategy.
Provide strategic advice to the CEO
Make decisions in all areas affecting spa revenue generation and branding.
Take absolute ownership of all areas affecting the spas sales numbers and perform whatever duties are required to achieve the goals set by the CEO and the executive team as a whole.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be driven, disciplined, possess a desire to grow and be the best, and have a clear ability to fill the top sales and marketing position. This ability could come from combination of different skills and experience, such as significant experience in sales and marketing, formal education, etc. Specific skills we prefer include expertise in social media, experience in sales training and excellent writing skills. A proficiency in computer usage including common programs such as MS Office are necessary for this position. Experience in graphics design and website design are a plus.
