Job Description : Job Description: Director of OperationsReporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Operations will supplement and assist the General Manager in the day-to-day supervision of vendors to ensure full compliance with DANTeC guidelines, ORD and DHS regulations and all Service Level Agreements (“SLAs”)The Operations Manager will work closely with the DTW Stakeholder group to build effective working relationships and will directly oversee the documentation and fulfillment of all equipment and custodial issues on a timely basis. Working with and through the vendor management teams, the Director of Operations will be responsible for and will guide all aspects of the DANTeC equipment and custodial operations including:working with vendors to implement effective staffing schedules, management and contingency plans, and monitoring and managing vendor performance.directly overseeing the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the baggage handling system, passenger loading bridges, preconditioned air and ground power systems, potable water cabinets and other equipment as may be assigned.developing, implementing and managing efficient and cost-effective maintenance systems to balance resources and costs with minimizing equipment downtimes and maximizing the life-expectancy of the DANTeC equipment.overseeing the development and implementation of training programs, inventory control systems and quality assurance programs to optimize performance, reliability and safety.tracking issues from detection through resolution to ensure that all deficiencies are properly recorded and rectified.assisting the General Manager in preparing annual operating and project budgets.preparing and/or supervising the preparation of daily walk-through/ inspection reports.preparing written management and incident reports.responding to and mitigating emergencies as necessary.serving as an ambassador of DANTeC and as a liaison to the DTW Stakeholders.The Operations Manager will be available on a 24-hour/365-day basis and at all times act in the best interest of 1.) safety & security of the airport and its occupants, 2.) DANTeC, 3.) the Airlines serving Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and 4.) the traveling public and will observe and obey all ethical and legal obligations entrusted in the position.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
