Job Summary
The GHI Director of People and Culture is responsible for defining, training, organizing, and overseeing the successful execution of culture building, people management, recruiting, and training for all Gravity Haus organizations including Gravity Haus Winter Park, Vail, Breckenridge, Truckee-Tahoe, Aspen, Dryland Denver, Unravel Denver, Haus Quiver, and prospective future Gravity Haus projects. The correct candidate must have a “hands-on” approach and is responsible for the overall integrity and consistency of our team members’ experiences, recruitment, talent selection, brand-level training and development initiatives, and the overall engagement and retention of our teams. This position will oversee training, development, on-boarding, team building and culture building initiatives by working directly with leadership and on-property management and alongside GH teammates in all departments. The GHI Director of People and Culture will be held accountable for supporting the pipeline of talent needed for maintaining established staffing levels and training standards across all our organizations with special emphasis on recruiting great team members at all experience levels who fit our culture and are personally motivated to grow and develop their skills with our organization.
KPIs for this position include employee retention and development, executing routine and standardized training initiatives, cultural satisfaction, success of a management training program, the development and maturing of cultural and leadership brand standards, and supporting the overall performance of our operation with special emphasis to guest and member feedback metrics. This role must organize recruitment and talent management efforts to support each outlet in ensuring it is set up to deliver seamless and genuine service to guests and members, while coordinating the team culture to enhance the value and experience of the membership offering.
The GHI Director of Culture and People will participate in the overall planning and direction of the company as part of the executive leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position will continually look for opportunities to increase team member engagement and satisfaction while keeping within the established brand ideals of providing enlightened hospitality curated for the modern adventurer with the goal of regularly delivering amazing work experiences to our team members so they can in turn provide amazing experiences to our guests and members.

Exceptional attention to detail and first-class organizational skills are mandatory. Job Description
The GHI Director of People and Culture is responsible for performing and completing the following job functions to the highest standard:
Lead the overall development, coordination and execution of people management and cultural initiatives for all Gravity Haus organizations; working closely with business leaders to support the success of our operations through industry-leading levels of team member engagement, satisfaction and training.
Assist in the development and implementation of impressive brand-affirming Standard Operating Procedures and Brand Standards for employee retention, recruitment, training, recognition, onboarding, and development, and ensure consistent compliance to these standards across all GH managed business units.
Provide hands-on leadership to develop and execute service standard training across all lines of business.
Manage and routinely contribute to updating a teammate guidebook in sync with the Gravity Haus mission and values, available benefits, and policies.
Routinely visit each property, inspecting the quality of the product, services, and engagement of the team.
Routinely connect with business managers, operators and leaders and ensure they are both receiving support for their operations as well as growing from leadership development and coaching.
Routinely connect with line level team members and ensure they are both receiving support for training and development as well as feeling confident and satisfied in their job experiences with the resources to get questions answers, seek out help, or be supported in personal growth (POKR) goals.
Routinely work directly in operational roles with team members and management, providing support during busy times, and discovering opportunities to increase operational excellence through better recruitment, retention, and training efforts.
Develop and manage standards for employee recognition processes across all organizations and at the corporate level.
Build a structured advancement and compensation plan, including tenureship leves, that keep and support consistency and continuity across the organizations and increase retention.
Negotiate corporate level vendor relationships relating to people management including tools such as Culture Amp for cultural engagement benchmarking, and payroll and benefits services such as Trinet. Provide presentations and recommendations to the executive team for long term planning and growth of the businesses and our people management needs.
Manage the benefits offerings and selections across the organizations ensuring consistency and promoting unique, value-aligned benefits to our team members to ensure we’re promoting healthy and committed teams with equal access to benefits and resources while staying within established budgets.
Actively look to increase sustainability and support education and training to our teams to increase sustainability efforts in our operations.
Provide HR management and leadership support to teams as needed.
Assist the executive team in long term planning, concepting, and development of new lines of business.
Control the flow of information and corporate directives related to culture and people management to on-premise management and teams.
Participate in special events that increase the overall business potential and membership experience.
Create and participate in special events that increase the overall satisfaction and strength of our culture for GH teammates.
Exhibit strong interdepartmental communication and develop positive working relationships with other Gravity Haus departments.
Develop Job Descriptions that are consistent across our organizations and to the brand.
Oversee the management of job postings and SOPs surrounding talent selection and onboarding.
Provide direction for the development of budgets for recruitment, retention, recognition, incentives, people management technology, team building, payroll services, benefits, and culture measurement.
Develop and train leaders to execute a consistent team member performance evaluation process and relevant record keeping.
Maintain Company Organizational Charts.
Provide direction and leadership for creating processes retaining to progressive disciplinary action, coaching, and counseling policies and related record keeping.
Perform administrative duties including processing vendor invoices, reimbursements, filing, copying, etc.
Manage, maintain and organize files on the relevant company shared drives.
Maintain a respectful and hospitable demeanor with teammates, customers, members, vendors, and partners in all interactions.
Act as a professional leader of the business, culture, and community at all times.
Assist in other departments and in other job functions on an as-needed basis.
Be familiar with the entire Gravity Haus family of businesses.
Form strong positive working relationships with operations management personnel.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Job Requirements
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Energetic and outgoing, with a positive attitude, driven to provide outstanding customer experiences.
6+ years of senior management experience in people management, human resources, training, or cultural development.
A strong appreciation and interest in outdoor recreation, health, and wellness.
Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
Strong financial acumen.
Proven track record of providing exceptional leadership.
Ability to adapt roles, responsibilities, priorities, and schedules effortlessly.
Must be willing to sign NDA, non-compete, and IP agreements.
Must be willing to routinely travel to Haus locations, new projects, and event locations.
Able to work as many hours as the business demands and be willing to maintain a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
College degree preferred / work experience considered.
Experience in a fast-paced work environment is preferred.
Self-motivated, problem solver, and goal-oriented.
Detail oriented and is able to meet specific tight deadlines and prioritize time.
Proficiency in Office and Google Suite required.
Has the ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.
