Your day.

In the role of this 100% remote Director of Pre-Access Services and Operations you need to know how to:

Direct daily operations of Scheduling Call Center, Pre-Registration, Authorization and Financial Clearance.

Direct multiple areas of diverse responsibilities and special projects and/or initiatives.

Orient and train staff to patient access operations and workflows, policies and procedures, utilizing training programs within SCL for specialized training as necessary.

Work closely with site leadership, RSC, SCL Physician Network Management, other SCL departments, insurance companies, physicians, employers, patients, and families.

Respond to requests for information appropriately and in a timely manner.

Ensure that the SCL Best in the Nation service behaviors are in place by providing SCL customer service through actions such as smiling, friendly phone manners, pleasant greetings to patients, assistance through healthcare concerns, and other actions that match a best in class Customer Service Policy.

Ability to work with patient access, site leaderships, physicians, clinics, directors, finance department, and contracting.

Knowledge of medical insurance eligibility/authorization procedures, medical necessity, credentialing, and educational processes.

Knowledge of state/federal regulations and competency with compliance procedures.

Demonstrate the ability to coach and direct employees toward established goals.

Has strong working knowledge of general PC programs, ADT, practice management, and billing systems.

Work with the Sr. Director of Patient Access to establish action plans that support SCL’s key RSC and Consumerism initiatives.

Ensure staff is fully engaged in achievement of department goals and action plans.

Develop budgets that effectively utilize resources (both human and financial).

Recruit great people and build functional strength.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, required

Master’s in Healthcare or Business, preferred

Five (5) or more years previous management in patient access/revenue cycle management, required
