Location: This job will eventually be in the Phoenix, AZ area. Currently it will be a fully remote job transitioning to a hybrid or fully on-site position in the soon to be established Phoenix headquarters. Work arrangements can be discussed in an interview and have the potential to be flexible. Some client site travel might be necessary for this role.
Summary: The Electrical Designer functions as a member of the design team preparing design packages for low and medium voltage systems for renewable power production. As a member of the design team, you will be mentored by more experienced designers or engineers. You will work from the direction provided by the senior technical staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Independently performs design tasks, CADD design, develops design drawings and documents, prepares material lists, performs field reviews as necessary, and other tasks for simple to moderately complex projects involving renewable power production facilities such as PV solar or Battery Storage Systems.
Development of elementary drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, physical layouts, general arrangements, conduit plans, grounding plans, material lists and other applicable drawings.
Regularly communicates with internal design team on project status, requirements, and deliverables.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct management responsibility.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Working knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
Experience with CADD software, modeling, design, and/or analysis software preferred.
Ability to multi-task and function while working in either a team or individual environment.
Must possess strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature.
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities.
Education and/or Experience:
1+ years’ design experience preferably in renewable power production facilities
CADD certification or school equivalent.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
