1.0 FTE Elementary School Teacher Opening
Amity School District 4-J is filling a pool of qualified applicants for three elementary teaching positions. These are full-time positions beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual that is dedicated to supporting young people. Do you love kids, value a strong community commitment, and want to join an outstanding staff? Amity School District is where you want to work. Amity School District is on the 4-day school week, which has provided staff with many professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
The applicant must:
Hold a valid Oregon Teaching License with an elementary endorsement.
Have the ability to provide materials and lessons consistent with student grade levels, individual needs and the District Curriculum Guide.
Have the ability to establish criteria both in skills and knowledge acquisition for awarding grades.
Clearly stated and consistent classroom rules, and a reward and consequence system that motivates students to excel in your class.
Consistently enforce this plan and hold parent conferences on discipline when necessary.
Have strong oral and written communication skills, including proper word usage, punctuation and correct spelling.
Possess strong skills for use of current educational technology and a high aptitude for mastering new technology applications. This includes computers and software, SMART boards and document cameras.
Strong knowledge of CCSS and Smarter Balanced Assessment.
Bilingual preferred.

August 25, 2022
Placement on the Amity School District Teaching Salary Schedule.
