Job Description : Job Summary:
In partnership with the Emergency Manager and working collaboratively with other health system stakeholders, responsible for supporting preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts for events that impact patient care and health system operations. This includes conducting risk assessments and implementing planning initiatives, delivering training and education for all employees and staff, and designing and facilitating exercises to ensure ongoing readiness.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), the National Planning Frameworks for Protection, Prevention, Mitigation, Recovery and Response, and the Homeless Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
Familiar with accrediting standards such as the Joint Commission’s Emergency Management standards and CMS Conditions of Performance.
Highly motivated and able to take initiative.
Ability to problem solve creatively and complete projects on schedule.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a high pressure work environment.
Ability to build effective work relationships and develop partnerships.
Ability to organize and structure processes.
Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.

Computers and Technology:

Trained in Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 120, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Concentration in emergency management and preparedness, public health, or related field preferred.
Incident Command System (ICS)100, 200, 700, and 800 training required.

Experience:

One to two years’ experience in Emergency Management; experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of ICS, HICS, NDMS, NIMS, and HSEEP.
Demonstrated analytic ability and strong written and verbal communications skills.

Certificates, Licenses and Registration:

Associate Emergency Management (AEM) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) preferred.
Certified Hospital Emergency Professional (CHEP) preferred.
Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) preferred.

Minimum: 63,500.00
Midpoint: 79,500.00
Maximum: 95.400.00
