Job Description : We have opened our Event Center and expanded catering sales. We are seeking a professional, results-driven Event Planner to join our Sales effort.

Compensation depending on experience and could be hourly or salaried. Bonus potential.
You will be helping customers with their events including selecting menus and planning the set-up of their party and meeting rooms. You’ll write banquet event orders and help answer customer questions. You’ll use Hilton’s Delphi.fdc customer database and sales system. You’ll work closely with meeting planners to detail their needs, answer their questions, and recommend proven solutions. You’ll communicate (in writing and verbally) with our Executive Chef and Banquet team to ensure we continue to provide planners with successful events.
The pay offered will be depending on experience. There is a lot of opportunity for growth as we continue to expand our operations.
You should be able to promptly resolve customer questions and issues while offering the client alternatives that are acceptable. You should be able to charge standard pricing and be skilled in negotiation and offering approved options to maintain pricing.
We look for team members who can set the right expectations and have a basic understanding of revenue management principles as it applies to catering sales.
Skills

Proven work experience as an event planner, hotel conventions services associate, Catering Sales coordinator, Sales administrator or similar role
Experience in Catering sales or event planning is helpful.
Proficiency in English
Basic Math skills
Hands-on experience with Delphi.fdc or salesforce is helpful
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
A friendly and energetic personality
Ability to perform under pressure
High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 – $25.00 per hour
