Position : Events Coordinator
Job Description : You don’t have to be the life of the party, but you need to know how to throw one! The Events Director provides the main point of contact and oversight for all MFU events. The main goal of each event is to engage the membership, build awareness of MFU policies and projects with the public, and drive membership.An event coordinator must be well-organized and competent in vendor management. Communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best among the candidates. Add a shot of enthusiasm and passion for the job and you’ll be our ideal candidate. The goal is to organize unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.Specific Duties- Creates a point of contact for event information.- Coordinates logistic details of MFU hosted events which range from online or 10-200 participants. Events are typically 1-3 days and held at various locations across Montana.- National events are often coordinated by National Farmers Union (NFU) but the Events Director may be required to support NFU’s staff.- Works closely with Communications Director and Press Relations specialist for event information and marketing.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible schedulePaid time offSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityApplication Question(s):Are you available for travel and weekends during events?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Event planning: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
