Job Description : Work as a strategic business partner to the Colorado-based Partner and CEO of recreation, real estate, consulting, and other subsidiary companies. The executive resides in Durango and has business interests in AZ, CO, NM, TX, and WY and travels sixty percent of the year for days and/or weeks at a time. This position will manage the access, time, communication, and administrative functions of the CEO and support initiatives that involve the company’s shareholders, senior management team and key leaders, advisors, partners, consultants, etc. Maintain strict confidentiality and manage communication flow with all internal and external managers. Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of travel, meetings, conference calls, and communications. Produce timely, professional daily correspondence, assignments, reports, and projects whether working just with CEO or with others. Prioritize projects and communications to maximize executive effectiveness. Assist others as requested.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Develop and nurture relationships and regularly communicate with CEO, shareholders, partners, senior managers, affiliated entities, lenders, advisors, consultants, and regulatory personnel.
Type and format various documents including correspondence, memos, agreements, strategic plans, marketing materials, etc.
Create standard correspondence and spreadsheets and assist in creating other documents as necessary to minimize time burden on the owner/President.
Assemble and distribute regular communication to shareholders in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate and manage on- and off-site meetings and workshops.
Make appointments, maintain calendars, and make the CEO’s time-efficient and effective.
Make travel arrangements including offsite meetings with numerous attendees to include lodging, meeting rooms and food/beverage needs.
Prioritize the CEO’s projects and drive results, regularly meeting with the CEO to track progress.
Work up to managing the CEO’s email by prioritizing, responding, and tracking correspondence.
Fill out and process timecards, purchase orders, and expense reports.
Maintain files and facilitate record-keeping.
Maintain a current commission of Notary Public with the State of Colorado.
Answer phones, relay messages and follow up/through.
Manage onsite Administrative Assistant and become proficient in those duties to serve as the Admin backup.
Work closely with the Personal Assistant/Estate Manager to serve as a backup when necessary.
Any and all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Superior written and oral communication skills with the ability to create, proof, and edit business correspondence with limited verbal direction.
Excellent administrative and computer skills. Complete knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong scheduling skills and ability to make others more efficient and effective.
Ability to anticipate and quickly and effectively resolve issues that may arise.
Resourcefulness and ability to produce results with limited direction.
Strong interpersonal “people” skills and communication style.
Team player and team confidence builder.
Ability to multi-task and move from one task to another and back again despite interruptions.
Ability to find difficult answers by researching and leveraging knowledge and connections.
Ability to handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
High Emotional Intelligence is a must.
Ability to learn new tasks, programs, and processes.
Ability to take the initiative to convey urgency and “get the job done” … and assist others to do the same, even if doing so is not specified in this job description.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect others’ time and privacy.
College education/degree preferred. Ski Resort/Hospitality background a plus.
Chief Executive or Legal Assistant/Paralegal experience required.
Minimum 5 years experience serving as an EA for C Suite individual required.

Working Environment / Physical Activities:
The workday is spent indoors in an office environment. While in the office environment, most of the time is spent sitting with some standing and walking as well. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing up to 30 pounds may be necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
