Position : Fencing Crew Foreman
Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Fence Installation Crew Foreman to install fence. Pay range on this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience. This position will be responsible for daily duties of managing a fence installation crew of 2-4 and subcontractor crews. This position will be working on Davis-Monthan AFB and will need to pass a background check and drug test.
Job Duties:
Verify and load all materials and tools needed that day for the job.
This project is all vinyl privacy fence. Vinyl fencing experience is preferred.
Prepare the site area for installation of the fence including removal of old wood fence.
Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions.
Align posts, using string lines or laser.
Understand Bluestake or 811 markings and follow requirements for underground utility safety prior to digging.
Dig postholes, using skid steer, jackhammer, or by hand with post hole diggers.
Set posts in upright positions in postholes.
Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts
Assemble vinyl fence privacy panels
Follow company and government safety/health rules and regulations.
A typical day would look like this:
· Remove old wood fence. Old footings do not have to be removed. Just cut below grade.
· Layout new fence with stakes, string lines, and mark post holes with paint
· Get skid steer and dig holes, avoiding any areas that have marked utilities
· Clean out holes
· Mix concrete and start setting posts
· Assemble vinyl fence panels
· Glue top caps and cleanup area
Skills Required:
Attention to detail
Ability to read and speak English
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
Work in the heat
Know have to use common construction tools
Experience Required:
At least 2 years experience setting fence posts
At least 5 years construction experience
Must have a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
10 hour shift
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Supplemental Pay:
