Job Description : 1. Summary
The Field Service Technician will understand the ArcScan Insight® 100 electro-mechanics and software operation and be well-versed in understanding and communicating triage activities necessary to quickly and efficiently address system errors or mechanical issues/failures. The successful candidate will be a disciplined and effective performer who can efficiently self-manage at remote and local service locations in order to maintain high productivity. Must be comfortable assisting hospital, clinic, distribution service and contract manufacturing technicians, troubleshoot system errors and implement field changes, either remotely or on-site.
The successful candidate will be one of the Primary Points of Contact for new system installation, customer service and ongoing service and support of the ArcScan Insight® 100 at our customer’s locations. Flexible working hours will be required based on customer’s scheduling needs and locations. This position frequently requires offsite travel to customer locations around the world. As such, a valid passport should be part of the successful candidate’s arsenal of tools.
The Field Service Technician will report to the Manager of Field Services.
2. Essential Functions

Ensures correct operation of the ArcScan Insight® 100 by completing and documenting new equipment installation, testing, and setup.
Provides prompt, clear and efficient communication and support to customers requesting assistance with system errors and issues.
Leads and supports field complaint root cause investigations with ArcScan engineering, customers, distributors, clinic technicians, contract manufacturers and engineering consultants.
Assists in the identification of service and training requirements by establishing rapport with doctors, technicians and distributors.
Plans, executes, and maintains required preventive maintenance schedules with clinics, distributors and ArcScan engineering (as required).
Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Windows, Excel and the Microsoft office suite.
Demonstrated experience in successful field service, maintenance and support of high precision medical equipment.
Demonstrated prevalence in attention to detail, organization and cleanliness.
Maintains logs and reports in accordance with company policies and gives feedback as needed.
Maintains, tracks and updates service component and subassembly inventories.
Follows procedures with regards to receiving/inspection of components/assemblies from approved suppliers.
Leads/ Supports complaint/ non-conformance entry, root cause investigation and resultant required activities in a timely and efficient manner.

5. Required Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years experience servicing, maintaining and installing sensitive and highly precise medical equipment.
High level of manual dexterity needed to calibrate, install, maintain and service medical equipment.
Knowledge of ISO13485 quality system procedures and protocols.
Knowledge of safety hazards common to equipment, tools and chemicals.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to the maintenance, calibration and documentation of precision tools/equipment used to service high precision medical equipment.
High school graduate minimum – preference given to those with formal skilled trade training/education.

Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
Must be open to extended travel of approximately 50%

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
