Bourne Financial Group (“BFG”) is a real estate private equity company that owns 26 seniors housing communities, in various stages of development or operation, containing over 3,200 independent living, assisted living and memory care units throughout the United States. The portfolio’s current value is over $900 million. Park Avenue Lifestyle is a seniors housing operating company and a wholly owned subsidiary of BFG. Park Avenue Lifestyle currently operates three of the company’s senior housing assets. The purpose of Park Avenue Lifestyle is to vertically integrate operating abilities into BFG’s business, to give the company more control over the performance of its assets.
BFG is looking for a financial analyst or senior financial analyst to work directly for the SVP of Asset Management /COO from either of our offices in Denver, Colorado or Winter Park, Florida. A qualified candidate will be humble and hungry – someone who is eager to learn, ready to do high quality work, and has a teachable attitude.

Ideal Candidate

Excellent Work Ethic: Your friends, teachers or co-workers should describe you as a hard worker.
Sense of Urgency: An ideal candidate will be proactive.
Background and/or degree in finance, banking, private equity and/or commercial real estate. This is a finance and investments job. A good candidate will know how to read financial statements, calculate IRR and CARG, and possess an understanding of capital markets.
Helpful to have senior housing experience, but not necessary.
High level proficiency in Excel or a background in mathematics. An ideal candidate will know Excel well as a significant amount of information internally and externally is exchanged via Excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities while working within tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to self-motivate and excel in a collaborative environment.
Willing to work East Coast hours, regardless of preferred office.

Job Description
The Financial Analyst is the primary analytical support role for the Asset Management team. This individual is responsible for preparing the majority of the data and reporting to be distributed to BFG leadership and our business partners.
Responsibilities include:

Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to keep leaders informed of trends and results.
Supporting the Asset Management team with tools to improve efficiency.
Assisting in the preparation of pre-opening budgets and variance analysis of monthly spend for new developments.
Coordinating lender inspections with community teams and assisting with related data gathering as needed.
Compiling operational performance and benchmarking.
Aiding and organizing project due diligence processes.
Performing key analytical duties related to each asset and portfolio, including:
May join community visits with owners on occasion.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary & Benefits

Reports to: Dave Richey, SVP Asset Management and COO, Park Avenue Lifestyle
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000, Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Job Type: Full time, Exempt, Bonus Eligible
