Job Description : Seeking a Financial Analyst for our growing corporate business unit who will oversee the daily operations of our retail and hospitality sectors in the Greater Toronto Area.The Financial Analyst will interact with the highest levels of the organization including the President. As a Financial Analyst you are a key contributor that will play an integral part in understanding and maximizing financial and operational efficiencies.You will be developing, preparing, and analyzing data and reports to help the company understand trends and impacts. This data-driven role will intersect with key areas of the business including management reporting, financial analysis, data analytics, pricing, budgeting, and forecasting as well as ad hoc analysis and business case support.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a key resource to our Operations and Marketing team across all business sectors, with strong analytical focus in:Sales and Gross ProfitPricing and Menu MixLabor and WagesParticipate in the Annual Planning and Budgeting process.Prepare and coordinate various weekly, monthly, and year-end analyses, reports, and financial reports for management review.Collect and analyze business metrics and collaborate across teams to identify risks and opportunities.Assist in the preparation of monthly close, including variance explanations and journal entriesComplete ad-hoc projects and reports for business partners as required.Properly assess the financial state of individuals, corporations, and other organizationsIdentify potential outcomes and returnsAppraise assets and financial holdingsParticipate in meetings providing analysis that recognizes both successes and opportunities in the area.Build and maintain financial dashboards for various internal users.Provide on-going tracking, reporting, and analysis of trends in key operating areas with established performance benchmarksABILITIES & COMPETENCIESAbility to handle and analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficientlyOutstanding verbal/written communication, presentation, organizational and teamwork skills are requiredSolid track record working with multiple groups or teams to execute company’s financial modificationsCollaborative team player, strong relationship-building, and active partnership with cross-functional teamsSelf-starter with ability to work independently, high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spiritEXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION: Minimum five years of related experience in a hospitality and retail environmentCost management and budgetary planning experienceStrong aptitude with financial systemsProficient with complex Excel models and macrosEDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is preferredMust be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental careExtended health careVision careSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience:Corporate finance: 5 years (preferred)Account analysis: 5 years (preferred)Account management: 5 years (preferred)
