Role Overview:
Reporting to the Manager, TMS Finance, the Financial Analyst will be mainly responsible for reporting and Accounting related to PCF and TMS.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for AR and Cash processes related to PC Financial and Services including The Mobile Shop, PC Insurance, Gift Card and Prepaid line of businesses
Maintain all Accounts Receivable subledgers and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in reporting
Prepare and analyze cash reporting for review by business team, highlighting discrepancies required additional investigation by Loss Prevention/Operations
Assist in preparation of recurring monthly JEs and balance sheet reconciliations to meet reporting timelines
Analyze and provide commentary for quarterly reporting with clear and concise language
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding status of various AR to ensure all risk and opportunities are captured
Monitor and highlight trends to Senior Management for further investigation of outstanding balances and issues
Build relationships with vendors and business teams for timely follow ups and support when issues arise
Support Finance Transformation journey including transitioning accounting system from Great Plains to SAP, and focusing on continuous process improvement for data-driven insights and reduction of manual work
Frequent ad-hoc requests, reports and analysis
What You’ll Need:
Post-Secondary Degree in a business related field (Business Administration, Commerce)
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Applications, most notably Excel and PowerPoint
Results oriented – ability to prioritize and consistently deliver on time with high level of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with multiple stakeholders and garner consensus
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to be analytical and detail-oriented
Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment, both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Previous exposure to the retail or financial services industry a definite asset
Experience working with VBA and macros a plus
