Job Description : Forecasting
Summary: *Team is responsible for managing the work streams and the resources that affect how appointments are being offered.
The forecast system creates and maintains forecast models for the Network workforce, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from multiple sources.
The Forecast Team is the integration point into the Field Network, supporting FIELD MANAGEMENT in all Regions.
Implementation of the Forecast System, Detail forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position.
This position leads the dialogue for their respective markets and products team.
Job Responsibilities:
Create statistical forecast in the Forecasting Tool, Gather, analyze and validate data, Execute statistical modeling and data, Review resulting statistical forecast model and plan. Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting.
Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts. Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts.
Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with FIELD MANAGEMENT.
Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion. Provide input to volume planning ( Latest Estimates / annual process). Facilitate and manage demand planning/customer meetings.
Achieve consensus with the business side and the demand chain.
Maintain demand planning system and Forecast Tool.
Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of data.
Monitor trends in forecast error.
Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with all areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
Good facilitation skills are required.
This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills.
Key Results:
A customer demand forecast which incorporates current and accurate resource information that allows the company to correctly predict Employee resources and provide its supply chain with the appropriate information to plan how to meet that customer demand.
Implementing an accurate plan that allows the field to optimize their resources while setting commitments to external customers that can be met while managing expense.
Improved relationships among planners, FIELD MANAGEMENT which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the company expectations and results.
Refined systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs.
Requirements:
Must be able to prioritize work and handle multiple issues concurrently.
Computer skills are required including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Candidate must have the ability to work in a consultative manner with others, i.e. establish rapport, interview / fact-find, present options / recommend solutions, follow-up and customer focused behavior.
Previous experience in a multi-tasking, result oriented position in a deadline focused department.
This function is performed 365 days a year which could include weekends/holidays/evening and at time 40+ hours per week
