Role Summary
:
Hotel Jerome’s Front of House Manager supervises all facets of hotel operations at the Front Office, including Bell/Valet, Concierge, and PBX, They ensure the quality of our service meets Auberge and Forbes standards and the maximization of profits wherever possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Coordinate the Reception Desk to assure quality of staff meets standards.
2.Ensure each department is properly staffed to provide best service possible.
3.Motivate all employees to constantly improve the standard of service.
4.Develop stable method of operation to ensure a consistent product.
5.Hire and dismiss staff as required. Evaluate staff after 3 months of employment, then yearly on anniversary. Document staff incidents and problems as they occur.
6.Hold semi-monthly Reception Office meetings to discuss solutions to problems and any new issues that arise.
7.Attend daily arrivals meetings.
8.Attend semi-monthly rooms division meeting.
9.Develop monthly objectives and provide to Manager by first of every month.
10.Scrutinize daily arrivals and V.I.P. guests daily to ensure accurately spelled names, accuracy of special treatments. Ensure that amenities are properly handled, and rooms are inspected.
11.Read log book every morning and handle any problems.
12.Communicate with staff members to identify problems, suggestions and improvements.
13.Maintain operations of equipment and supplies needed for Reception Desk.
14.Calculate and distribute weekly “10 day Forecast.”
15.Handle guest complaints and problems.
16.Maintain guest incident reports or accident reports and follow through.
17.Ensure accounting procedures are administered properly by staff.
18.Organize group arrivals and departures and inspect all billing to be forwarded to sales.
19.Regularly inspect guest history to ensure all information is recorded and utilized properly by staff.
20.Ensure staff on duty is properly dressed and aware of day’s special events.
21.Prepare weekly staff schedules adhering to labor standards as outlined.
22.Consistently strive to maximize revenue and occupancy. Be fully aware of budgeted revenues and expenses.
23.Develop staff and cross train.
24.Assist Management whenever called upon to do so.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hotel front office/guest services management experience

Pay Rate: $80,000 – $100,000
