Job Description : SUMMARYDirects and coordinates activities of manufacturing facility to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals· Coordinates activities of facility such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, or research and development, to effect operational efficiency and economy· Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry· Analyzes facility or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget· Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required· Directs preparation of directives to department administrators outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented· Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees· Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations· Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures· Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division· Directs preparation of accounting records through Controller· Analyzes division / department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget· Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products through Manufacturing Manager· Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delay· Knowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. Strives for continuous improvement in their area of expertise and job function that results in better cost, quality, or functionality of the products we deliver to our customers· Promote good employee relations and high morale· Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible· All other duties assigned by the CEOLEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES· Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the Manufacturing Operations and Administrative Depts.· Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES· Ten to fifteen years related managerial experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS· Work in a manufacturing environment· Exposure to heat, loud noise, dust, odors, dirt/dust and fumes· Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach, and grasp· Frequently lift and lower up to 50 pounds. Assistance is required when lifting over 50 pounds· Frequently carry up to 50 pounds.
