Position : General Superintendent (FT)
Job Description : General Superintendent for Utility/Civil Construction – Phoenix area general contractor is now accepting resumes for the position of General Superintendent for Civil Construction.
Scope of work:
Construction of Electrical Substations, Trenching, Asphalt & Concrete Removal & Replacement & Conduit Placement for APS, SRP & others.
Review plans, create and maintain the relevant project and jobsite forms and files.
Schedule, coordinate, review, and process sub-contracts, change orders, ASI’s, and RFI’s.
Enforce compliance with Company Policies & Procedures on the job site.
Maintain open communication with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure that all subcontractors manage according to the designated project schedule.
Attend on-site progress meetings with subcontractors, and owners, as necessary.
Coordinate projects plans, specifications, Owner Contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, drawings, submittals, and all other project-related documents; distribute and enforce accordingly.
Negotiate, prepare, issue and execute change orders (proposals) to owners, subcontractors and others, and prepare revisions as a result of changes and revisions to work.
Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling, expediting of material deliveries, and the management of material and document submittals/approvals.
Must have five years verifiable experience as a Utility Construction Supervisor (Civil Experience).
Must have experience running simultaneous job sites and manage accordingly, while maintaining safety on all job sites.
Must have good organizational & personal skills, have knowledge of traffic control & related logistics.
Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
Experience in Power Construction (APS & SRP) is a plus, but not mandatory.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
