Job Description : We’re hiring for a Head of Paid Media! This is a full-time, permanent position. Denver-based applicants and remote, U.S.-based applicants will be considered.

The Head of Paid Media oversees Two Octobers’ paid media practice, acting as an account strategist, team mentor, quality assurer, and process developer. The Head of Paid Media raises the level of knowledge within the organization, champions best practices for executing work, and enhances our reputation as thought leaders in the market.
Leadership at Two Octobers is more about enabling than directing employees. We are an organization of talented, passionate professionals. This role has direct reports and indirect reports. Cultivating growth in team members, including our apprentices, is a key part of the job.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Develop cross-media strategies optimized for clients’ specific business goals, and identify the tactics that will drive continuous performance improvement.
Define and prioritize tasks for team members and contractors.
Promote and grow the level of knowledge of paid media within the organization.
Mentor and train coworkers seeking growth in the discipline.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of best practices, processes, and deliverable templates.
Develop quality standards and measure and report on them. Identify the best ways to support quality improvement of employees who work in the discipline.
Assist and support sales in evaluating prospects, pitching business and developing proposals.
Lead thought leadership initiatives, including blog posts, speaking engagements, research and industry networking.
Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors, service providers and contractors in order to improve the quality and efficiency of our services.

Knowledge and Skills
Proven leadership ability. Guide, mentor, and share knowledge.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Expert level of proficiency in paid search and advanced proficiency in other paid media such as paid social and programmatic.
Proficient in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, including setup, troubleshooting, and advanced reporting.
Strong aptitude for analytical and quantitative reasoning – ability to identify business questions and conduct data analyses in order to find answers.
High level of proficiency in Sheets or Excel. Adept with pivot tables, vlookups, queries, and formula building for text manipulation and data analysis.
Excellent organizational, problem solving, and project management skills.
Demonstrated aptitude for understanding consumer behavior.
Ability to prioritize projects, pay excellent attention to detail, and multi-task.
Function effectively under pressure and maintain a sense of humor.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Willingness to help wherever needed, and to encourage teamwork.
Work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Education and Experience
2+ years of experience developing paid media strategies and budgets.
6+ years of experience managing digital advertising campaigns, with responsibility for all aspects of the campaigns. Demonstrated experience with small and large campaigns. Ad platform certification is a plus.
2+ years in a leading role in communicating with clients or senior stakeholders.
Experience or skills that demonstrate a quantitative and analytical mindset.
Strong business acumen with broad industry knowledge.
Management or related experience that demonstrates leadership capability.
Essential Job Functions
Requires ability to work for extended periods of time at a computer.
Requires the ability to speak, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties of the job, and be able to communicate clearly.
Compensation
The Head of Paid Media position pays $95,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications, plus benefits.
