Job Description : Heavy Equipment Operator / Pipe Layer – Laborer Omdahl Excavation is seeking experienced, qualified heavy equipment operators as well as pipe layers (laborers.) Omdahl Excavation has been operating in the Bozeman, Montana area for over 20 years and has an upstanding reputation within the community. Omdahl Excavation’s projects are local allowing employees to be home each night. The pay rate for operators will be $42.00 per hour while laborers (pipe layers) will be $35.00. Omdahl Excavation also offers health insurance benefits after 60 days. As a small to mid-size company we are able to treat our employees as more than just a number or body to fill a space and treat them as part of a team. Omdahl Excavation desires their employees to work together where no one employee is better or more important that the next. The end goal is to complete projects efficiently, correctly and together.Operators must be skilled in proficient operation of varied sizes of excavators for the purpose of installation of underground water and sewer lines. Omdahl Excavation performs mostly water and sewer rehab where excavation around electrical, gas, cable and phone lines are common. In addition, the key employee will be able to safely work well and communicate with pipe layers. Again, this position demands the employee to be dependable, have strong work ethics, be safety conscious and carry the ability to work well with others. The operator’s rate of pay is $42.00 per hour with benefits.Pipe layers/Laborers should have experience in the installation of underground water and sewer pipe. Communication with the excavator operator is of the most importance for safety and proper installation. This position also demands an individual to be reliable, carry strong work ethics, keep safety in mind and work well with others. This position pays $35.00 per hour with benefits.
