Altitude Sports is the official television network of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, and Colorado Rapids. Altitude Sports also broadcasts University of Denver sports, the University of Colorado Buffalo Stampede weekly show, CHSAA High School Football Game of the Week as well as other local and regional sports, entertainment, and public service programming.

Nature of Work:

The Host/Reporter position is an important on-camera position within Altitude Sports & Entertainment. This person needs to have knowledge of all the professional teams and leagues that Altitude covers. This person must have the ability to host various pre-game and post-game shows as well as other ancillary programming. Ability to work independently and ideate, write and put together features, preferred.

Examples of work performed:

Hosting or Reporting on pre-game, intermissions or half-times, and post-game shows.
Hosting or Reporting of other programming such as betting shows, golf programming, college sports.
Sideline Reporter for games
Story ideation and creation of features on teams and players.
Participation in other shows and stories, voice-overs, and other duties as assigned
Host or guest on weekly roundtable discussion shows or other programming
Creation of content for Altitude’s social channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Voice-over work for commercials, promotions, PSA’s or other projects as assigned.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments on projects.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Typical Office Conditions
Lift 10-20 lbs. daily
Sit and/or stand up to 2/3 of the time
Work in moderate or loud stadium environments

Qualifications

Minimum

At least 2-3 years minimum of relevant hosting and/or reporting experience
Extensive knowledge of the sports and teams that Altitude covers
Ability to learn and grow in ability and take creative and constructive feedback
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and others
Ability to create, write and put together feature stories
Ability to edit on non-linear systems, such as Adobe Premiere, is preferred but not required.
Ability to host television shows without a prompter
Results-oriented, innovative and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of social media such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred

High School diploma required; College degree is preferred
Previous television or industry experience is preferred
Ability to work outside normal business hours

Compensation

Base salary range $60,000 to $68,000 per year
Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
