Job Description : Description: At Open Sky, the HR and Payroll Specialist is part of an integrated team that delivers powerful and transformative therapeutic experiences for students and their families, embracing the belief that all people have the capacity to thrive.The primary duty of the HR and Payroll Specialist is to provide Open Sky employees with human resources administrative support including new-hire onboarding, timesheet tracking, payroll processing, employee benefits administration, workers’ compensation administration, maintenance of compliance and licensing records, support of departmental training and communication, facilitation of retention and engagement interviews, development and documentation of employment policies, and exit management. The position involves preparing, processing, and tracking important employment-related paperwork, requiring excellent organization skills, a high level of attention to detail, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Other duties may be assigned.The position is eligible for Open Sky’s benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401K) depending on employee classification and hours worked.. Requirements: Education

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to five years’ experience with business administration and office tasks. HR experience preferred.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office and outdoor settings with frequent interaction with other people. Employee may be exposed to environmental conditions such as extreme weather, noise, and vibration, and employee may be exposed to infectious diseases. Work involves functioning in narrow aisles or passageways. Employee will be working with students who have acute mental, emotional, and behavioral healthcare needs. Employee may drive and ride in Open Sky vehicles in support of program activities.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to hear and talk with other people in person and using phone and radio. Must be able to use office technology including a computer and related equipment. Must be able to spend long periods standing, bending, and walking, and must be able to use stairs frequently.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of HRIS and Salesforce or the ability to quickly learn these systems.
Have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license. Complete DMV release for inquiry and review of driving record. Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening. Pass Colorado, Utah, and FBI background checks. Review and sign the Utah Provider Code of Conduct. Provide certified college transcripts, if applicable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
