Position : Human Resources Scheduler – On-Call Assistant
Job Description : Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln (CLGLWL) is a non-profit organization that provides meaningful, high quality services and supports to children, youth and adults living with an intellectual disability and their families in West Niagara (Grimsby, Beamsville and Vineland).CLGLWL is currently looking for a Full-Time Scheduler/On-Call Assistant. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will work a flexible schedule based on a 40-hour work week. The person in this position will work three days during the week from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The person will schedule shifts agency-wide, be the weekend on-call contact, and assist with employee recruitment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:·Work with Supervisors/Coordinators to schedule staff based on the coverage needs at the agency’s various work locations.·Maintain working schedules as well as master rotations.·Work with staff members at various locations to fill vacant shifts due to vacation requests, lieu time, training, staff meetings, etc.·Cover unexpected vacancies as required due to sick, emergency, bereavement, staff injury and other absences.·Receive and input all approved sign in sheets.·On-call contact during weekends for emergency situations that may arise.·Ensure scheduling is compliant with the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and all agency policies and procedures.·Develop and post all internal and external job postings, schedule interviews, perform reference checks, conduct preliminary interviews, and participate in the panel interview with a hiring supervisor.·Complete any other duties related to scheduling or recruitment as assigned.EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:·Possess relevant post-secondary diploma or university degree.Human resources resources/administrative experience.·Knowledge of employment legislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Health and Safety).·Familiarity with scheduling and scheduling software/programs.·Attention to detail.·Excellent organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills.·Ability to problem solve and develop strategies for scheduling.·Ability to work independently and take initiative.·Excellent computer skills.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $22.00-$24.00 per hourBenefits:Dental careDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programExtended health careFlexible scheduleLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offRRSP matchVision careWellness programWork from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftOn callWeekend availabilityCOVID-19 considerations:All staff are required to wear a mask.
