This is an opportunity to apply proven security leadership skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be the lead security manager for the Northrop Grumman Missile Defense Systems Business Unit, supporting the local Advance Mission Systems (AMS) Operation Unit facility in northern Colorado Springs, CO. This manager will be directly responsible for a small security team at this Northrop Grumman facility which includes Schriever AFB. This position will ensure security compliance with the government regulations and company policies, coordinates with other Northrop Grumman security teams, and strives for excellence in the executing of program security objectives and milestones. The security manager will primarily oversees all security aspects for the AMS program team and interface daily with the program management teams. The selected candidate is responsible for staffing and working with program stakeholders to ensure security classification guidelines are being met and implemented.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain & maintain SCI accesses.
6 years of security experience with Bachelors; or 4 years of security experience with Masters; 4 additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Must have an in-depth knowledge and skills with the NISPOM and ICDs
Previous security management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Past experience in managing Industrial Security programs.
Extensive knowledge with SCI and SAP programs
Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.
Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action at resolving challenges.
Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, security peers and program management team members.
Ability to effectively write CONOPS, SOPs, incident reports and communicate information in an effective and timely manner with customers, team members and fellow employees.
Salary Range: $88,100 USD – $132,100 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
