Position : Inventory & Material Handling Specialist
Job Description : DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the VP of Supply Chain, this position will be responsible for the accurate accounting of the company’s inventory including, but not limited to cycle counts, adjustments, reconciliation, and reporting. This person will also be directly involved in all aspects of daily material handling activity within and between storage locations in coordination with the materials handling team with a focus on supporting production, and will ensure accurate, proper, and timely processing and recording within the SAP system.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
· Extensive knowledge in MS Excel
· Background in inventory or supply chain operations
· Physically capable of handling the requirements of the job
· Experience with SAP ERP system
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Count and tag material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records, manually or using computer.
· Compare inventories to office records, SAP, or compute figures from records to obtain current inventory.
· Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and compute inventory balance, price, and cost.
· Work with a team to reconcile inventory discrepancies and follow-ups with an investigation to determine the root cause of the discrepancies.
· Manage the correction or adjustment of negative inventory quantities in a timely manner.
· Monitor material movement, data entry for material receipts, shipments, production orders, and transfers.
· Report results of inventory control accuracy.
· Develop, implement, and improve inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Develop inventory cycle-count plans to meet requirements set forth by GAAP and internal management.
· Additional inventory and production related responsibilities as needed.
· Daily material handling tasks as needed throughout all facilities
· Loading and unloading parts and placing in correct location in support of daily production requirements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
