Job Description : Job Description Summary:
The position provides support for customers (users) of all Health Information Systems. The specialist will perform a wide variety of duties supporting the current application suite as well as implementing and supporting future information systems initiatives and projects.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Healthcare-related field
Technical Skills:
• Demonstrated written and oral communications and educational skills

• Able to present design concepts and system functions in an understandable, logical and concise manner
Other qualifications/certificate/license:

• Two to five years of experience in installation and support of health information systems is preferred
Responsibilities
1. Obtains a general knowledge of applications to help define system needs

2. Provides the Director of Health Information Systems with a status report of all projects assigned on a weekly basis or when deemed appropriate

3. The analyst will coordinate testing of new system enhancements (releases/new custom programs) with programming and hospital departments

4. Helps to provide training to key users within the hospital for new/enhanced systems

5. Assists in coordination between HIS and other hospital departments during system downtime.
In addition to the functions described above, this role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon PMC needs or requirements.
Shift:
Variable – 8 Hours (United States of America)
Schedule Details:
