A1 has been recognized by Macleans Magazine’s Profit 500, as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in Canada (2017, 2018, 2019)IT SUPPORT ADMINPosition Type: Full-time/PermanentWe are currently seeking an IT Support Admin with strengths in technical analysis and problem-solving skills to assist our team. Your main responsibility will be to provide support using your thorough hands-on and in-depth understanding of our products, configurations, and best practices. You will also be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting head office and other locations for the IT infrastructure, hardware equipment (Server/PCs/Laptops/Wireless Wi-Fi/Printers/RF Scanners etc.), security camera, phone system, and software applications etc.Good analytical and troubleshooting skills will allow you to identify and correct complex IT issues and develop technical procedures and documentation. You will analyze and resolve technical problems via telephone, e-mail, online and through independent testing and analysis.TECHNICAL SKILLS: – Monitor system health proactively identify potential issues and to notify the immediate manager- Configure and support server, network, PC, RF Scanner, printer, Switches, Wi-Fi access point router, Firewall and VPN and software applications.- Managing and verifying system backups.- Perform PC hardware and software setups, configurations, and troubleshooting.- Implement data, software and hardware security procedures- Ensure all supported software programs are maintained and utilized properly- Maintain IT assets inventory and keep it up to date at all timeSPECIFIC SKILLS: – Ability to work independently- Use of good judgment and composure under pressure.- Strive to continually improve one’s personal development.- Work as a team player- Decision making and problem-solving skills when taking incoming calls.- Provide the highest level of on-going service and support.- Conduct oneself in a professional and business-like manner consistent with the image of the Company.- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the systems used.- Reasonable availability during off-hours for troubleshooting and supportPREFERED SKILLS: – MS SQL Server, Crystal report, SAP B1, Retail Point of Sale and Warehouse Management Software administration.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: – University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.- 2 years’ Experience with LAN/WAN/Server/PC hardware/application support.- Experience supporting/troubleshooting MS Windows 7/10, Server 2012/2016 OS, Office 365, MS active directory, DNS, DHCP, File Sharing and Symantec endpoint protection cloud antivirus applications.TRAVEL: RequiredHOURLY RATE: $28.00 per hourWhat You Need to Know: A1 Cash and Carry is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
