Job Description : Department: Member ServiceGrade: 6Reports To: Team LeadClassification: Non-ExemptRole: To assist members and potential members with their telephone requests; explains services, responds to problems, and directs phone calls to the appropriate area. Interacts with callers to uncover needs and cross sells credit union products that satisfy those needs. Makes outbound calls for follow up and new product offerings.Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assists members and potential members with their telephone requests; answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve; refers problems that are beyond theirauthority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.Consistently delivers the highest quality of service verified by member satisfaction scores.Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross sells services to members.Makes outbound calls to members to follow up on service offerings or to present new offerings that may meet the needs of the member.Ensures the appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.Maintains member account information on computer system.Performs other job related duties required or assigned.Performance Measurements: 1. Consistently provides exceptional service to all members and associates by meeting goal limits.2. Direct all telephone calls to the appropriate person with minimum transfers.3. Process member transactions with zero unresolved errors.4. Successfully recommends new products or services to meet set goal limits.5. Develop and maintain knowledge of all relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliancewith applicable regulations.6. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.7. Seeks participation in self-development activities.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience – Six months to two years of similar or related experience.Education – A high school education..Interpersonal Skills – A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.Other Skills – Good listening and telephone skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard; able to make decisions with minimum information.Physical Requirements: Communicating: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and efficiently.Hearing ability: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.Finger dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as keyboarding, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.Repetitive motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Visual ability: Average, ordinary, vision necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.Physical strength: Sedentary work; standing occasionally for periods of time.
