Job Description : Title: Junior Associate, Asset Management & PerformanceDepartment: Asset & Infrastructure AdvisoryOffice/Location: Remote (Canada-wide)Reports to: Manager, Asset Management & PerformanceOverview: The successful candidate will be part of a growing team that is enabling our clients across the globe to navigate the challenges of the Energy Transition. The team is responsible for delivering analytical and forecasting services, ranging from asset performance monitoring to load forecasting to maintenance planning and optimization. The candidate will be part of a team of problem solvers tasked with delivering asset management solutions to complex business issues within industrial, utility, and public service sectors.Responsibilities Include: · Inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and support the decision-making process.· Assist in the development of Asset Management performance analytics, including Key Performance Indicators and Asset Performance Monitoring.· Research emerging technologies relating to the energy sector and support the development of predictive models such as load forecasting, economic forecasting, emerging technology forecasting,· Assist clients in the development of decision frameworks, business processes, and tools for asset condition assessment, risk analysis, lifecycle costing, system planning, value framework development, and project prioritization.· Complete qualitative and quantitative analysis for spares and maintenance planning.· Responsible for the quality of work and timeliness of task completion.· The ability and willingness to engage in hands-on consulting project work, including data analysis, research, stakeholder interviews, and preparation of final deliverables is essential.Knowledge and Skills: · An interest in seeking a dynamic role with a mix of technical, commercial, financial, and soft skills.· Competent in time management, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and initiative-taking.· Responsible team player with the ability to interact effectively with team members and other stakeholders.· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.· Experience working with Python is prerequisite.· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for creating spreadsheets, reports, presentations, etc.Education/Certifications: A post-secondary education from an accredited institution in one or more of the following disciplines or a related field:Computer Science or Engineering (including Computer, Industrial, Energy Systems, Electrical, Mechanical);Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or Applied Mathematics;Technologist or Technician (including Geomatics, Electrical, Energy).Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to the following entities:Data science and machine learning;Engineering or management consulting firms;O&M/Asset Management/Data Analytics teams from major industries;Regulated/non-regulated Utilities;Regional System Operators;Provincial or State Public Utilities Regulators.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Casual dressDental careEmployee assistance programExtended health careFlexible schedulePaid time offVision careWork from homeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
