POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Analysis team is seeking a full-time Junior Business Analyst located in our Markham head office.
Reporting to the Director of Business Analysis, this position is well-suited to a recent grad with a strong desire to learn and grow their career within the field of business analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Business Analysis and assume responsibility for tracking all documentation related to the investment portfolio. As a tight-knit team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are integral for success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent analytical skills who is both detail oriented and well organized.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Document and file management, including tracking of financial statements for the investment portfolio
Management of Excel spreadsheets, including updating and editing data as required
Market and business analysis research for existing and potential investment opportunities
Assist with analysis of potential investment opportunities
General technical and administrative support
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently. The successful candidate will have:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Advanced spreadsheet skills are required for success in this role.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
Completion of a bachelor’s degree is preferred. We are open to considering candidates from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds.
Completion of a securities course is considered an asset
Financial literacy skills are an asset in this position
1-2 years of related experience is an asset
