Job Description : Junior Construction Coordinator:Percy Ellis Construction is seeking a Junior Construction Coordinator to join our growing team. Percy Ellis Development & Construction (PE) was founded over a decade ago by James Burton and Emery Daniels and is locally based in Toronto, with a focus in and around the Junction Triangle and Leslieville.The successful candidate will support the construction team and must have hands-on experience in construction and project management. The successful candidate must be organized, be able to solve problems thrown their way and must have access to a motor vehicle as the position requires attending a variety of sites both on the east and west side of the City.Required skills:· Problem Solving· Organization· Expertise with MS Word and MS Excel· Online research skills· Reading construction drawings· Effective, concise communication· Comfortable with new technology· Comfortable working under pressure and with a constant sense of urgency· A desire to work hard, set challenging goals, and get things done quicklyResponsibilities include:· Assist with construction projects, including liaising with sub-contractors· Be an ambassador of the company· Assisting and organizing the tender process· Review shop drawings· Issue site instructions, change notices and RFIs· Issue contracts, LOI’s and purchase orders as directed by the project manager· Work with accounting department to ensure project accounting is accurate and timely· Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and sub-contractors· Other duties as requiredSalary: $50,000Percy Ellis is a quickly growing company and offers candidates the opportunity to work within a close knit and supportive team dedicated to creating projects that benefit our tenants and the communities we develop and build in.
