Job Description : Do you enjoy helping animals?
West Ridge Animal Hospital is searching for an energetic, confident, amiable person to join our team in our Purrs and Paws Lodge boarding department.We are looking for a team member to work part-time; weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are required.Duties would include, but are not limited to:
Exposure to all weather conditions while exercising dogs and cleaning outdoor areas.
Ability to work in a busy, high volume kennel environment
Must be able to move dogs of all sizes and energy levels from kennels to outdoor areas and other parts of hospital; care for a variety of species of pets; and maintain a clean and tidy kennel area always.
Must be able to accurately administer medications to a variety of species of pets, including some pets with special medical needs
Physical activity includes: some lifting of up to 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, kneeling, lifting, and bending.
Must be able to operate computers, copy machines, washing machines, clothes dryers, and dishwashers.
Communication is key; must be able to accurately and confidently exchange information daily with pet owners, teammates, and veterinarians regarding the care of animals.
